Kuwait condemned in the strongest terms the continued attempts of the terrorist Houthi militia to threaten the security of Saudi Arabia by targeting civilians with a number of drones. In its regular weekly meeting at Al-Saif Palace on Monday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Hamad Al-Sabah, the Cabinet stressed that the continuation of these aggressive practices and the escalation they are witnessing in targeting the security of the Kingdom and the stability of the region constitutes a flagrant violation of the rules of international and humanitarian law and requires the international community to move quickly and decisively to deter these threats and hold the perpetrators accountable. The Cabinet affirmed the State of Kuwait's full support for Saudi Arabia and in all the measures it takes to preserve its security, stability and sovereignty. On other regional affairs, the Kuwaiti ministers expressed sympathy with sisterly Oman and the UAE in the face of the tropical cyclone Shaheen that left scores of victims. They expressed condolences for the families of those who perished in the hurricane and wished the wounded a quick recovery. They also expressed condolences for UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and the brotherly people of the UAE over the tragic crash of an air ambulance. They congratulated Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the brotherly people of Qatar on the successful legislative elections, expressing best wishes of prosperity and welfare for Qatar. The Cabinet meeting reviewed the outcomes of the participation of Kuwait delegation, led by His Highness the Prime Minister, in the 76th session of the UN General Assembly as well as the outcomes of the talks held on the sidelines with missions of friendly countries to the session. -- SG/SPA
