Jazan Governor Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser Bin Abdulaziz Wednesday inaugurated the sea ambulance service in the Farasan Island Governorate. The governor listened to a detailed briefing from Jazan Health Director Dr. Awaji Al-Naami, about the sea ambulance that was manufactured at a cost of SR13.6 million according to the best international standards and the latest safety systems. The sea ambulance has three beds, including an ICU bed, that can be increased to five beds, a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) device, a stretcher that has the ability to absorb shocks resulting from waves and adapts to movement on the sea, a suction device, and all medicines needed for emergencies. The governor also had a firsthand look at the action plan of the sea ambulance that can transfer emergency cases from Farasan Island to Jazan Port within 45 minutes. He got acquainted with smart systems that enable medical transfer operations center at the Emergency, Disasters and Ambulatory Transportation General Department at the Jazan Health Directorate to follow up on the ambulance movement in the sea and identify locations until arrival at the port. Prince Muhammad Bin Nasser highlighted the importance of the service that is part of the Ministry of Health's endeavors to provide health services to citizens and residents alike in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership. — SPA
