ISLAMABAD — Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan met here on Tuesday with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the Saudi Press Agency reported. During the meeting, they discussed the importance of expanding and intensifying prospects of bilateral cooperation and coordination and strengthening it in various fields. The two sides also discussed the most prominent issues and matters of mutual concern in the regional and international arenas in a way that contributes to supporting and strengthening security and stability. The talks also dealt with the fruitful results of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan's recent visit to Saudi Arabia and his meeting with Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, including the establishment of the Saudi-Pakistani Coordination Council, which will achieve the aspirations of the two countries for greater cooperation and prosperity. The two sides touched on the need for concerted efforts by the Islamic world to confront extremism and violence, renounce sectarianism and strive to achieve international peace and security. They also underlined the importance of continuing joint efforts to combat the phenomenon of terrorism that is not linked to any religion, race or color, and confront all its forms and images irrespective of their source.
