I am happy to read your series of articles about the Ministry of Labor's version of the Nitaqat program. I am glad to know that your editorial staff has a very balanced point of view regarding the issue. I am an expatriate who supports the Saudization program. Indeed, Saudis should be given the jobs wherein they have skills to replace expats, afterall this is their country. But I also hope that the MInistry of Labor should be realistic enough in pursuing the program. There are menial jobs that are not easy to Saudize simply because the Saudis themselves will not even dream of taking such jobs. For instance, how do you Saudize the labor sector in the construction industry when there are no Saudis who want to work as laborers? There are many examples to enumerate and I hope the ministry will make a thorough study on which jobs are ready for Saudization and which are not or will take time. Anyway, thanks for your series of sober articles. Reynaldo Lachica, Jeddah
