The Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation (SACA) and King Abdulaziz University (KAU) signed Sunday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at King Abdulaziz Airport in the presence of President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Al-Duailej and President of King Abdulaziz University Dr. Abdulrahman bin Obaid Al-Youbi. The memorandum activates means of cooperation in all fields and is a way to benefit from partnerships and alliances to develop the outputs of the two sides, establish a research center specialized in the fields of air transport and aviation sciences, and develop joint programs aimed at developing and qualifying national cadres. For his part, GACA President Al-Duailej said that the signing of the MoU between King Abdulaziz University and the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation emanates from the commitment to achieve more cooperation with academic institutions and the aviation sector, where research and development are the cornerstones of building the future of the aviation industry. He pointed out that the joint cooperation between the scientifically prestigious KAU and the SACA that specializes in aviation science since 1962 constitutes an important alliance that will contribute to meeting the needs of the labor market with qualified national cadres according to the highest international standards, especially since the two parties have many alliances and international accreditations. King Abdulaziz University President Dr. Al-Youbi pointed out that this step comes within a series of agreements and memoranda that the university is working on with the aim of qualifying Saudi youth for the labor market with a high level of efficiency, stressing that this memorandum will open new horizons of cooperation and partnership in various fields between the university and GACA. — SPA
