JEDDAH — US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke on Tuesday with Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al-Zayani to coordinate efforts to halt the conflict in Israel and the West Bank and Gaza. Blinken highlighted the value of Bahrain's diplomacy across regional divides and the strong strategic partnership between the United States and Bahrain, according to a statement from the US Department of State. According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the US secretary of state and the Bahraini foreign minister discussed the strategic partnership between the two countries and means to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields. They affirmed the depth of historical friendship between the two countries and joint cooperation to enhance the security and stability of the region. Both foreign ministers stressed the importance of consolidating the pillars of security, stability and peace in the region. Blinken also spoke on Tuesday with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita. They discussed their shared concern about the violence in Israel and the West Bank and Gaza, which has claimed the lives of Israeli and Palestinian civilians, including children. The US secretary of state highlighted the importance of the strong bilateral partnership and Morocco's key role in fostering stability in the region.
