Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan made a phone call on Friday to Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki. During the call, Prince Faisal expressed Saudi Arabia's condemnation of the illegal practices carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities, and the need to immediately stop its actions that violate all international norms and conventions. Prince Faisal called for the completion of efforts to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, enabling the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy decisions and the Arab Peace Initiative. Earlier, Prince Faisal said that the illegal practices committed by the Israeli occupation forces in these blessed days of Eid Al-Fitr, storming Al-Aqsa Mosque square and violating the sanctity of Palestinian worshipers represent a flagrant violation of all international charters and constitutions. Prince Faisal joined virtually Arab foreign ministers meeting to discuss the latest about violence between the Palestinians and Israelis on Tuesday. The Saudi foreign minister expressed the Kingdom's rejection of Israel's plans and measures to evict Palestinians from their homes. He stressed Saud Arabia's condemnation of any unilateral measures that violate international legitimacy resolutions and undermine the chances of resuming the peace process.
