RIYADH — The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), in cooperation with the security authorities, has intensified inspection tours to airports, authority's buildings and its facilities to detect violators of the precautionary measures. It has set up screening points to measure temperatures or check health status through the Tawakkalna app. It has also appointed a protocol officer for each facility and more than 250 observers to ensure that precautionary measures are fully implemented and followed. Additionally, the aviation authority said it has increased educational awareness messages, and directed companies and commercial centers at airports to adhere to precautionary and health measures. GACA president Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Al-Duailj stressed the need to adhere to the implementation of the protocols set by the Ministry of Health and not to be complacent, including the commitment to wearing face masks, continuous sterilization, preventing congestion, following the instructional posters, and maintaining a safe social distance. He also said that no one should be allowed to enter any GACA facility without the "Tawakkalna" application. He called for adhering to the recommended health measures in order to preserve the gains achieved in addressing the coronavirus pandemic and not to be complacent in taking all precautions. It is worth mentioning that the authority is working to implement all preventive measures at all airports to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in coordination with the Ministry of Health, and has implemented a package of health measures that meet global health and safety standards.
