RIYADH — Many users of the Tawakkalna application, who have recovered from coronavirus infection, were surprised to notice the change in the color of the barcode referred to their health condition from brown to dark green with a phrase "recovered immune" even before receiving any doses of coronavirus vaccine. Several inquiries flooded the "Health 937" account of the Ministry of Health, and Tawakkalna application via Twitter from users, seeking clarification about the health condition shown in the barcode. The ministry commented by saying: "If there is a previous infection of coronavirus, it is considered a change in the health condition of the user and therefore, the status of "recovered immune" in the application is correct. "After six months of the recovery, the status on the app will return to "non-immunized" until the time of taking a single dose of vaccination," it said. Replying to queries, Tawakkalna application said that the barcode would be changed from brown to dark green with a status of "recovered immune" for those who recovered from infection and this will last for six months from the date of recovery. The status of "immune" will be there for those who completed the vaccine doses or recovered and got the first dose. The status will be "immunized with first dose" for those who completed 14 days after the first dose and continue up to three months from the date of the first dose. As for those who have been confirmed with infection after receiving the first dose of the vaccine, their second dose will be postponed until after six months of recovery, the ministry said, while stressing that there are no risks from taking the vaccine for people infected with coronavirus without their knowledge.
