RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Friday 360 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, 30 less than Thursday's figure of 390. The ministry announced five more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 381,708 and the virus-related fatalities to 6,556. The ministry also reported 367 recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 372,217. The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 174 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 59 and the Makkah region with 45 new infections. The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with seven of them reporting less than 10 infections. According to the ministry, there were 2,935 active cases and 542 of them were in critical condition.
