Jabal Souda or Souda Mountain is one of the most favorite tourist destinations in the Kingdom's southern region of Asir. It is one of the highest peaks on the Sarawat Mountains, the largest mountain ranges spreading across the Arabian Peninsula. Situated 2,800 meters above sea level, Souda is one of the Kingdom's most vegetated areas that receives the most rainfall and its weather temperature is the coolest in the Kingdom. The combination of the rare vegetation and fog gives the charming impression as if the foggy Soudah Mountains is embracing the cloudy sky. The heritage palaces of Rijal Alma'a, located on the valley of Souda Mountains, are another captivating destination in the region. Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman recently announced the launch of the Souda Development Company, which will lead the development of a luxury mountain destination by pumping investments worth SR11 billion to develop infrastructure and tourism projects so as to enhance the visitor experience in Souda and Rijal Alma'a.
