RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health on Saturday recorded 338 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, marking a slight fall in the number of new infections. The ministry announced 5 more deaths over the past 24 hours from complications caused by COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 377,061 and virus-related fatalities to 6,488. The ministry also reported 320 recoveries over the past 24 hours, taking the total number of people free from the deadly virus reached 368,011. The Riyadh region continued to record the highest number of infections with 179 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 70 and the Makkah region with 42 new infections. The remaining cases were detected in other regions of the Kingdom with 9 of them reporting less than 10 infections. With the slight drop in the number of new cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia fell to 2,562 out of which 475 were critical.
