Published in The Saudi Gazette on 14 - 02 - 2021

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf condemned here Saturday the continuation of the Houthi militias committing terrorist acts in a systematic and deliberate manner to target civilian objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the latest being re-targeting of Abha International Airport through launching a bomb-laden UAV.
Al-Hajraf stressed that the aggression targeting Saudi Arabia represent flagrant violation of the international norms and laws, holding the militia and those behind it and provide it with money and weapons, fully accountable.
Al-Hajraf praised the vigilance and the efficiency of the Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen as they managed to intercept the UAV, affirming that GCC is standing alongside of Saudi Arabia and supporting all measures it takes to maintain its security, stability and the safety of its citizens as well as the residents on its territories.
He called on the international community to firmly stand against the Houthi militias and those who stand behind them, in their ongoing attempts to destabilize security and peace, in the region.
The General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers Council in Tunis also affirmed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the repeated terrorist operations and provocative attempts through which the Houthi militia seeks to target airports, civilian objects and vital installations and threaten international shipping routes, the last of which is its attempt to target Abha Airport with a bomb-laden UAV.
The General Secretariat praised the heroic roles played by Saudi forces and the coalition forces to defend Saudi Arabia's territories and confront all attempts to undermine its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and expatriates.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs hailed, in a statement, the bravery and readiness of the Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, for intercepting the UAV and destroying it.
The Ministry reiterated, at the same time, Bahrain's permanent supporting stance for relentless efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia to counter these serious terrorist acts and anyone who tries to destabilize its security and stability, expressing its fully standing along the side of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in taking deterrent measures to confront heinous Houthi aggressions.
Tunisia too strongly condemned the grave attacks that infringe the sovereignty of Saudi Arabia in violation of the international law, following the recurrence of terrorist attacks targeting Abha Airport and the civil facilities, in the Kingdom.
