RIYADH — The Arab Coalition said it intercepted and destroyed on Wednesday two armed drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthis targeting Saudi Arabia. In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, the spokesman of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Brig. Gen. Turki Al-Malki said: "The coalition forces have intercepted and destroyed this afternoon two bomb-laden UAVs launched systematically and deliberately by the terrorist Houthi militia to target civilians and civilian objects in the southern region." The Houthi militia has stepped up attacks against Saudi Arabia recently. On Sunday, the coalition intercepted four explosive-laden Houthi drones launched toward the Kingdom and on Saturday it destroyed one drone.
