JEDDAH — Users in the Kingdom said on Wednesday they were facing difficulties in accessing Tawakkalna, the official application approved by the Saudi Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of coronavirus. In a statement, the management team of the application later clarified that the app was facing temporary technical issues, and it was working round the clock to overcome them. It must be noted the Tawakkalna app has recently been made mandatory for all Saudis and expatriates visiting government agencies or malls to prove their health status. The move has prompted a lot of people to download and use the app in the past few days. The Tawakkalna app management thanked all users for following preventive measures to limit the spread of COVID-19, adding it will coordinate with relevant authorities to take these issues into account while performing checks. Tawakkalna app, developed by the National Information Center, shows the health status of its users through colored codes at the highest degree of safety and privacy. The app also allows individuals to contribute to breaking the chain of infection by reporting infected cases or gatherings that violate the adopted precautionary measures.
