RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Monday 170 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 365,099. The ministry announced six more deaths over the past 24 hours due to complications caused by COVID-19, taking the total number of virus-related fatalities to 6,329. The ministry also reported 161 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 356,848, with the recovery rate rising to 97.74 percent. The Riyadh region reported the highest number of infections with 67 cases, followed by the Makkah region with 38 and the Eastern region with 25 cases. The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom. With the significant drop in new COVID-19 cases, the active cases in Saudi Arabia also dropped to 1,922, out of which 317 were critical.
