The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed Wednesday an agreement with Al-Basar International Foundation to implement fighting blindness programs in five countries, for the year 2020-2021, amount to 2,310,000. The agreement was co-signed by KSrelief's Assistant Supervisor General for Planning and Development Dr. Aqeel Bin Jamaan Al-Ghamdi and Secretary General of Al-Basar International Foundation Dr. Adel bin Abdulaziz Al-Rashoud. Dr. Al-Ghamdi said that according to the agreement, 41 medical campaigns will be implemented, with the participation of volunteers and Saudi doctors, in Yemen, Bangladesh, Sudan, Nigeria and Pakistan, where the number of operations to be performed will be around 16,400 and 41,000 medical glasses will be distributed, 205,000 people will be examined, benefiting 262,400 individuals. He added that this agreement comes within the framework of humanitarian efforts being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to alleviate the sufferings of people worldwide and provide treatment for them. KSrelief center distributes food baskets to Rohingya refugees In Dhaka, KSRelief has continued to implement a project to secure and distribute food baskets to the Rohingya refugees and their host community in Bangladesh, in response to repeated global calls to contribute to alleviating their suffering, and in support of the 2020 rapid response plan for their humanitarian crisis. KSrelief's team distributed Tuesday 43 tons and 200 kilograms of food baskets, benefiting 9,000 individuals in Cox's Bazar. It is noteworthy that KSrelief launched this project last month, which will be implemented in more than 20 regions in Bangladesh, benefiting more than 120,000 refugees and the host community. This comes within the framework of the Kingdom's humanitarian aid, represented by the center, to Rohingya refugees and needy families in Bangladesh. KSrelief distributes winter clothes to refugee families in Jordan In Amman, KSrelief continued distributing winter clothes to needy families of Palestinian and Syrian refugees in Jordan. KSrelief launches first voluntary medical campaign in Mukalla In Mukalla, KSrelief launched its first voluntary medical campaign for Yemeni children in urology and general pediatric fields, in Mukalla, Yemen, it was reported here Tuesday. During the first and second days of the campaign, which started Monday, KSrelief medical team conducted 37 surgeries, including 16 urological and 21 general surgeries, benefiting low-income families. The campaign comes as part of a continuing relief and humanitarian effort being provided by Riyadh-based KSrelief, Saudi Arabia's relief arm, designed to alleviate the suffering of the needy in Yemen, without exception, due to the current humanitarian crisis.
