RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded 140 new cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 363,949. The ministry announced just four more deaths over the past 24 hours due to complications caused by COVID-19, taking the total number of virus-related fatalities to 6,295. The ministry also reported 158 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 355,706, with the recovery rate rising to 97.73 percent. The Riyadh region reported the highest number of infections with 43 cases, followed by the Eastern region with 30 and the Makkah region with 28 cases. The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom. With the recoveries surpassing new cases regularly, the active cases in Saudi Arabia have also dropped to 1,948 out of which 312 were critical cases.
