WASHINGTON — Saudi Arabia's Embassy in the United States has called on all Saudi citizens in the US capital to abide by the curfew imposed by local authorities after supporters of outgoing President Donald Trump stormed the US Capitol building during a joint session of the House and Senate to ratify the victory of Democrat Joe Biden. In a statement, the embassy said: "Citizens in Washington must abide by the curfew from 6 p.m. today (Wednesday) until 6 am tomorrow morning and follow the instructions of the local authorities, and not come to Washington during this period for those outside it, and call the emergency numbers mentioned on the embassy website." Earlier, Mayor of Washington Muriel Bowser announced the imposition of a curfew in the capital, starting at 6 p.m. local time on Wednesday. "Today, I'm ordering a citywide curfew for the District of Columbia from 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, until 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7," she tweeted.
