RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Wednesday 118 new cases of coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 363,377. According to the health ministry, 7 more patients died over the past 24 hours due to complications caused by COVID-19, taking the total number of virus-related fatalities to 6,272. The ministry also reported 144 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 354,899, with the recovery rate rising to 97.66 percent. Riyadh region reported the highest number of infections with 43 cases, followed by the Makkah region with 38 and the Eastern region with 14 cases. The remaining cases were detected in different other regions of the Kingdom. With the recoveries surpassing new cases regularly, the active cases in Saudi Arabia have also dropped to 2,206 out of which 351 were critical cases.
