The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) clinics, in the Zaatari camp for Syrian refugees, in Jordan, took the initiative to conduct practical training on how to take medical samples of PCR tests to detect the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). In cooperation with the Jordanian Ministry of Health, the KSrelief trained 5 nurses, so that each of them would take random samples for clinic visitors, including all disease control and public safety measures. The total number of tests done is 93, which will be sent to the laboratory of the Jordanian Ministry of Health. IOM supports displaced children to continue education, in Yemen The International Organization for Migration (IOM), in cooperation with the KSrelief, has worked to support displaced children in Yemen to return to schools. During the last period, 8,500 male and female students have been supported to return to their schools, in addition to 750 members of the educational and administrative staff, in various Yemeni governorates. This comes within the humanitarian and relief projects, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, in partnership with the IOM, in many countries, remarkably, in Yemen. KSrelief's mobile medical clinics provide treatment services In Hajjah, the mobile medical clinics, affiliated with KSrelief continued providing treatment services in Hajjah Governorate, Yemen. During the period from Dec. 17 to 23, 2020, the KSrelief mobile clinics received 384 individuals, with various health conditions, and provided them with the necessary health treatment. KSrelief implements water supply and environmental sanitation project The KSrelief continued last week implementing the water supply and environmental sanitation project in the Governorate of Hajjah, Yemen. During the period from Dec. 17 to 23 2020, 1,132,000 liters of non-drinking water and 760,000 liters of drinking water were pumped into tanks, 8 fog spraying campaigns were carried out to combat epidemics, and waste of refugees camp was transferred, benefiting 6,320 individuals. KSrelief distributes 160 tons of food baskets in Sudan In Khartoum, the KSrelief distributed, in West Kordofan Saturday, 160 tons and 500 kilograms of food baskets, benefiting 9,000 individuals. This comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief projects, provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, to distribute food in Sudan. — SPA
