Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held an official session of talks here on Monday with Jordanian King Abdullah II at Al-Sakhir Palace in the presence of Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Jordanian Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdulla II and Prince Hashim bin Abdulla II. King Hamad welcomed the Jordanian monarch and hailed deep-rooted historic relations binding the two countries, lauding Jordan's honorable stances toward Bahrain. He valued the important role of Jordan, led by King Abdulla II, in supporting Arab and Islamic causes, particularly the Palestinian issue, promoting joint Arab action and contributing to the strengthening of pan-Arab and international security and stability. The Jordanian monarch expressed thanks and appreciation to the Bahraini king for the warm welcome and hospitality, stressing his country's pride in its relations of cooperation with Bahrain and its people. The two leaders reviewed outstanding fraternal relations, joint cooperation and coordination, and ways of further bolstering bilateral ties in all fields. They also discussed the latest developments in the Middle East, in addition to measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, stressing the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two brotherly countries, regarding different issues, toward achieving the Arab interests and aspirations. — Bahrain News Agency
