BAGHDAD — Iraq's Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi received here on Monday a high-level Saudi delegation headed by Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi. Al-Qasabi, who is also the head of the Saudi side of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordinating Council, is being accompanied by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef, Governor of Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi, and Secretary-General of the Saudi Export Development Authority Saleh Al-Solami, in addition to a delegation of businessmen representing 22 Saudi companies. During the meeting, they discussed issues of common interest between the two countries, and ways to support and enhance them in all fields. During the reception, Al-Qasabi conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, to the Iraqi premier Minister, the government and people of Iraq. The visiting Saudi delegation also met on Monday with Iraqi President Barham Salih at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad and discussed issues of common interest between the two countries. Earlier in the day, a Saudi-Iraqi businessmen forum was launched under the auspices of Iraqi PM Al-Kazmi on the sidelines of the visit. During the forum, the two sides discussed the aspect of future cooperation between businessmen of the two countries in all fields. The two sides also signed an agreement to establish a metal silo to store wheat in Al-Diwaniya province and a hospital in Al-Saqlawiya, Anbar province. Al-Qasabi also inaugurated Monday the Office of the Commercial Attaché at the Saudi embassy in Baghdad. The ceremony of the inauguration was attended by Saudi Ambassador Abdulaziz Bin Khalid Al-Shammari, the accompanying delegation, and the embassy staff.
