Andhra Pradesh Home Minister K. Jana Reddy said that the state police have concluded that Mufti Abu Bashar was the prime suspect in last year's blast in Lumbini Park in Hyderabad in which 11 people were killed. The home minister said Mufti Abu Bashr was a suspect in Lumbini Park case from the beginning as his name had come during the investigations soon after the blast. “But we could not locate and nab him as he had gone missing soon after the incident. Now after his arrest in connection with the blasts in Ahmadabad, the state police officials have questioned him and concluded that he was very much involved in the blast in Hyderabad,” Jana Reddy said. He said that necessary steps will be taken to bring him to Hyderabad on a transit warrant for further interrogation. It may be recalled here that Mufti Abu Bashr had worked as a teacher in a Hyderabad based Madrasa for almost two years from 2005 but later returned to his home in Uttar Pradesh. __
