Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa held telephone talks on Thursday with Morocco's King Mohammed VI. The two monarchs reviewed strong fraternal and outstanding relations binding the two brotherly countries and their citizens, as well as means of further bolstering joint ties toward achieving common aspirations and interests. King Hamad informed the Moroccan monarch about the decision of Bahrain to open a General Consulate in the Moroccan city of Laayoune. The foreign ministries in both countries will coordinate in this regard. King Hamad expressed Bahrain's support and solidarity with Morocco in defending its sovereignty, rights, the security of territories and citizens in the Moroccan border crossing of Guerguerat within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty and the unity of Moroccan territories. The Bahraini monarch expressed his support for all the measures undertaken by Morocco to defend the safety and security of its territories and citizens, wishing the Moroccan people greater development and progress. HM King Mohammed VI expressed deepest thanks and regards to King Hamad's honorable stances in support of Morocco and its people, which reflects deep fraternal and historic ties binding the two brotherly countries, wishing Bahrain and its people further development and progress.
