RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health recorded on Friday 441 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, registering an increase of 130 infections as compared to Thursday's figure of 311. The ministry also announced 20 more deaths from the complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 352,601 and virus-related fatalities to 5,625. The ministry also reported 454 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 339,568 with the recovery rate climbing to 96.30 percent. Riyadh recorded the highest number of daily infections with 59 cases followed by Madinah and Makkah with 56 each and Jeddah with 26 cases. The remaining cases were detected in different cities and governorates across the Kingdom. According to the ministry, there were 7,408 active cases in the Kingdom, 804 of which were critical cases. — SG
