RIYADH — The Arab Coalition said on Wednesday that it had destroyed two explosive-laden boats south of the Red Sea launched by Yemen's Houthi militia, according to the coalition's spokesman Col. Turki Al-Maliki. In a statement carried by Saudi Press Agency, the coalition spokesman said: "The coalition's naval forces detected Wednesday evening an attempt by the terrorist Houthi militia to carry out a hostile, terrorist act in the southern Red Sea using two bomb-laden unmanned surface vehicles (USV) launched from Yemen's Hodeida Governorate." "The USVs, which pose a threat to regional and international security, underwater communication cables, and International Trade, were destroyed." Al-Maliki also said that the Houthi militia is using Hodeida Governorate for launching ballistic-missiles, armed drones, and boats against Saudi Arabia in a clear, blatant violation of all international humanitarian laws. He added the coalition forces will continue to implement all rigorous, deterrent measures against this terrorist militia, and neutralize, destroy such capabilities that pose a threat to regional and international security.
