Al-Sheikh launches Path of Excellence for Scholarship
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 26 - 10 - 2020

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Al-Sheikh launched the Path of Excellence for Scholarship, which aimed at facilitating the enrolment of young Saudi men and women graduates in world-class universities.
"The Path of Excellence for Scholarship, one of the paths of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Foreign Scholarship Program, includes 32 specializations in 70 prestigious universities around the world, to achieve the comprehensive development goals in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030," he said.
He thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for their unlimited support to the education sector in general and to the scholarship program in particular.
Al-Sheikh said the path is being implemented in partnership with a number of government sectors to enable Saudi sons and daughters' enrollment in the best international universities.
"This will enable them to pursue studies in qualitative specializations that respond to future national development needs, and to provide them with the opportunity to compete globally with their scientific and research capabilities and skills so as to develop their knowledge and skills in diverse fields and specialties."
The minister stressed that this qualitative path of scholarship will be an addition to the quality of its specializations, in a way that meets the needs of government sectors for human cadres, and reflects the role of the ministry in achieving sustainable development of the country.
Al-Sheikh said the path offers new specializations that contribute to building a prosperous and diversified economy to support the Kingdom's promising sectors, and building a vibrant society that raises the quality of life.
"This will also give an opportunity to link those specializations with the new trends within the ambitious vision in preparing Saudi human cadres capable of actual contribution to the labor market, and meeting the needs of different sectors in a distinctive and qualitative manner," he added.
