BSPTI launches a national initiative to train Bahrainis
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 20 - 10 - 2020

Bahrain Society of the Private Training Institutes (BSPTI) has launched a national initiative to qualify Bahrainis and provide them with the skills and knowledge necessary for the labor market's needs that have changed remarkably due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This initiative supports the esteemed government's efforts to boost the percentage of Bahrainization in various sectors, raise national cadres' productivity and competitiveness, and integrate them into the knowledge economy following Bahrain Vision 2030.
To implement a part of this national initiative entitled "BSPTI-Contribution", the Society of the Private Training Institutes, represented by its Chairman Nawaf Al Jishi, signed an MOU with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development represented by Ahmed Al Hayki, assistant undersecretary for labour affairs, in the presence of Minister Jameel Bin Ali Humaidan, Dr. Essam Ismail Al Alawi, director of training and manpower development.
BSPTI's board of directors also attended the MOU's signing ceremony, and hailed the ministry's support for private training institutions in overcoming any obstacles and its support to improve the level of services provided to meet the needs of national cadres.
On the occasion of the MOU's signing ceremony, Al Jishi revealed that "BSPTI-Contribution" would be implemented with the participation of affiliated training institutes under the umbrella of BSPTI. He stressed that other institutes are currently communicating with the Society to join the initiative, and their names will be announced soon.
"Through this national initiative, we will be able to unify the efforts of several training institutes in Bahrain and coordinate with each other under the umbrella of the Bahrain Society for Training Institutes to provide integrated remote quality training, and free of charge, that effectively meets the current and future training needs of job seekers, employees, workers in the public and private sectors, and all citizens of all specialties and levels," Al Jishi said.
The Society's chairman asserted that the "BSPTI-Contribution" initiative reflects the keenness of the Bahraini private training institutes to develop their social responsibility and harness their potential and resources even in their current challenging circumstances, as they will provide training programs for job seekers registered in the lists of the Ministry of Labor to accelerate their employment without incurring any financial compensation and any obligations related to these training programs.
"BSPTI is in the process of establishing other partnerships with many public and private entities to move forward in implementing this national initiative and achieving its objectives, as the Society is keen to consolidate work with various partners to advance the development of training services to improve national human resources," Al Jishi said.
