The trade system, during the past five years, continued its efforts to develop and improve the business and investment environment and facilitate the start of commercial work. This they achieved through complementary partnerships by more than 50 government agencies, and with an effective partnership by the private sector to enhance Saudi Arabia's competitiveness globally and progress in international indicators to be among the ten most competitive countries in the world by 2030. The Kingdom achieved a quantum leap in the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business 2020 Index, jumping 103 ranks, from 141st in 2019 to 38th in 2020. The Kingdom also ranked first in the world in business environment reforms among 190 countries in the Ease of Doing Business 2020 report issued by the World Bank, while it was the best country in the world to support and enable entrepreneurship in the Global Observatory report 2019. The Kingdom climbed three ranks in the Global Competitiveness Index 2019 to rank 36 out of 141 countries, and it achieved the only progress in the Middle East region in the IMD 2020 Competitiveness Yearbook Report, reaching the 24th place among 63 most competitive countries in the world. In the field of e-commerce, the Kingdom ranked among the top 10 countries in the United Nations E-commerce Index. In terms of empowering women, the Kingdom is the most reformed and advanced in the world, according to Women Business and the Law 2020 report. — SPA
