The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed a number of movable electric chairs for the injured in Yemen as part of Phase I which covers the governorates of Aden, Luhaj, Abeen and Al-Dhalea. In a statement, Alawe Al-Noobah, undersecretary of Aden governorate for the affairs of Martyrs and the Injured, lauded the efforts being exerted by Riyadh-based KSrelief and its role in mitigating the suffering of the people of Yemen in general and the injured in particular. The effort is part of KSrelief, the relief arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to provide humanitarian and relief assistance, to the needy in Yemen. In Maareb governorate of Yemen, KSrelief distributed 23,828 kg of foodstuffs for the displaced from Saada to Al-Wadi (the valley) directorate, an official report said Thursday. A press release issued by Riyadh-based KSrelief said as many as 1932 persons benefited from the assistance, which was distributed yesterday. The KSrelief has signed an agreement to provide educational needs of the current academic year for the schools in Thamud and Rumah Districts, Hadramout governorate. The agreement was signed by KSrelief Assistant General Supervisor for Operations and Programs Muhannad Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz. The project aims to motivate and enable male and female students to continue their educational process. This aid comes as an extension of great efforts exerted by the KSrelief to stand by the Yemeni people. KSrelief distributes foodstuffs for flood victims in Khartoum The KSrelief continued on Thursday distributing foodstuffs for victims of floods in Karari neighborhood, on the northern outskirts of Khartoum Province of Sudan, an official report said. A press release issued by Riyadh-based KSrelief said as many as ten tons and 700kg of foodstuffs were given away to victims of floods in the areas of Al-Hawashab and Al-Kodab, affliated to Karari neighborhood of capital Khartoum, benefiting 600 persons. The effort is part of KSrelief project to provide assistance to victims of unprecedented floods in Sudan. — SPA
