MANAMA — The remarks made by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa during his talks with Jared Kushner, the senior adviser to the US president, on Tuesday reflect the feelings of every genuine Bahrain and Arab citizen toward Saudi Arabia, Bahrain's Information Affairs Minister Ali Bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi said on Wednesday. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the minister affirmed that the Bahraini king's statements that "the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) solidarity and stability depend, on all issues, on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman" and that "Bahrain stands with Saudi Arabia through thick and thin in order to achieve stability and prosperity in the region" emanate from a wise leader and translate the feelings of Bahraini and Arab citizens toward the leading role Saudi Arabia plays in order to safeguard regional security and stability. Al-Romaihi highlighted the shared keenness of King Salman and King Hamad to develop bilateral relations and cooperation across various fields and sectors. The minister stressed that Saudi Arabia has proven, throughout its long history, that it is the symbol of justice and wisdom, as well as the first defender of the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations. "Therefore, standing by Saudi Arabia through thick and thin is in fact backing the right positions, supporting good and defeating evil, and these are the foundations on which relations between the two countries have been built throughout history," he said.
