After seeing around 80,000 coronavirus cases daily for the past few days, there has been a slight decline in the daily records. On Tuesday morning, the government said India has seen 69,921 new coronavirus cases, which took the country's COVID-19 tally to 3.691 million. Apart from the nearly 70,000 new coronavirus cases, India has also recorded 819 deaths, taking the death toll to 65,288. Among the total cases, there are 785,996 active coronavirus cases, 2.8 4 million cured and discharged cases and 65,288 deaths in total, said the health ministry. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has said, the total number of samples up to Aug. 31 crossed 43 million, including 1.16 million samples tested on Monday. Delhi has recorded nearly 1.8 million coronavirus cases while the death toll is over 4,400. Delhi began the third sero survey from Tuesday with a sample size of 17,000 people. The second sero survey result that came in last month showed about 29% of the population in Delhi have developed coronavirus antibodies. Meanwhile, Unlock 4 started Tuesday with more relaxations being brought in across the country. The central government has allowed Metro train services to restart operating from Sept. 7. However, schools, colleges and other educational and coaching institutions will remain closed for students till Sept. 30, with some relaxations for students of classes 9 to 12. — Agencies
