HODEIDAH/HAJJAH, Yemen — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center is continuing the implementation of water and environmental sanitation project to preserve the lives of people of Al-Khawkhah District, Hodeidah Governorate, Yemen. During the period from 25 June to July 1, 2020, 357,000 liters of drinking water and 413,000 liters of water for other uses were pumped into tanks. KSrelief has also transferred waste from camps, continued maintenance of tanks and bathrooms, and implemented spraying campaigns to combat disease vectors. The center is also continuing its water and environmental sanitation project in different districts of Hajjah Governorate, Yemen. During the period from 25 June to July 1, 2020, 479,800 liters of water for other purposes and 290,000 liters of drinking water were pumped into the tanks, benefiting 5,600 individuals in Yemen. The project comes within the framework of humanitarian efforts being provided by Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for the Yemeni people to improve their living conditions during the current humanitarian crisis.
