The heads of the executive committee of the Saudi-UAE Coordination Council held Saturday a virtual meeting in the framework of following up the projects and various initiatives being implemented by the two parties in many areas. The meeting was chaired by Saudi Minister of Finance and the Minister in Charge of Economy and Planning Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan and the UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future of United Arab Emirates Mohammad Abdullah Al-Gergawi. During the meeting the two sides discussed the main themes of the council's strategies during the coming stage, taking into account the recent regional and global developments, in order to formulate and develop joint policies and plans of action. The strategies discussed were to enhance the opportunities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and their ability to optimally deal with the changes and take advantage of them in the future in a manner that achieves the aspirations of the two peoples. Developments related to the novel coronavirus were also discussed, in order to analyze them and benefit from experiences in both countries to develop effective protocols for recovery at various social and economic levels, and work to open new horizons for cooperation and return of businesses in all sectors. The two side discussed the reopening of businesses in a balanced ways, such that it met the criteria and preventive measures to achieve a safe return and to develop innovative strategies to support activities and promote their growth, after this exceptional stage. — SPA
