DUBAI — Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched on Monday a new academy to train people to make the best use of digital media. Announcing the launch on his official Twitter account, Sheikh Mohammed, who is also the Vice President and Prime Minister of United Arab Emirates, said: "Today, we launched the New Media Academy to nurture a new generation of digital experts. New Media is a new science, it has its tools and its secrets, and we want our talents to be at the forefront of this. Our goal is to equip youth to lead the rapidly growing social media landscape." "The academy will train media professionals in the public and private sector and develop social media content creators. The new media provides job opportunities and supports the development process," he added.
