The Real Estate Development Fund (REDF) has performed over 873,000 e-services since the application of remote work on March 15. The services logged are until May 21, 2020. The Fund's electronic platforms have contributed to the continuity of daily work in order to facilitate the completion of procedures for citizens who wish for homeownership by taking advantage of the subsidized mortgage loan. Spokesperson for the REDF Hamoud Al-Osaimi said that in accordance with the announced measures and procedures to limit the outbreak of coronavirus, the Fund's employees have worked remotely during the period of suspension of attendance s at workplaces. He added that the Fund has served beneficiaries through its electronic portal that includes 30 e-services, unified call center 199088, and its Twitter accounts @redfksa and the beneficiaries service account @redfksacc in order to fulfill the requirements and procedures for financing the homeownership of Saudi families. The REDF's e-portal also facilitates their access to adequate housing to raise homeownership in Saudi Arabia to 70% according to the "eskan" program objectives, one of Saudi Vision 2030 programs. Al-Osaimi stated that the electronic portal has processed more than 329,000 service requests, the unified call center handled 503,000 incoming and outgoing calls, and through social media platforms the Fund interacted with more than 41,000 service requests. He added that the performed services include inquiries about subsidized real estate loans, issuing bills, updating personal information, and the service of the real estate consultant. The spokesperson stressed that the Fund's branches, which were reopened recently after the suspension of attendance at government workplaces had been lifted, will not meet beneficiaries except in need of extreme necessity. The meeting would only take place after the beneficiary has made an electronic appointment through the electronic portal, while also confirming that all Fund's services are available to be performed remotely. The REDF ranked first as the best government agency in providing electronic services, and in services and the development sector. It also came among the top 15 government agencies providing services electronically to citizens, according to a report issued by the e-Government Program (Yesser) in 2019. — SPA
