According to official statistics, a total of 6,408,501 people have been infected with coronavirus (COVID-19) all over the world, and among these the number of fatalities is 383,616, equivalent to 5.9 percent of the total infected cases. The statistics also showed that the coronavirus cases in the G20 countries made up 71 percent (4,560,468) of the total number of infections. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had the lowest death rates compared to other countries of the group, registering 0.62 percent of fatalities. It was followed by Russia with 1.19 percent while Australia came third with 1.41 percent. France recorded the highest mortality rate with 15.2 percent, and it was followed by Italy with 14.3 percent and the United Kingdom with 14.1 percent. As for recovery, China ranked first with 93.4 percent, Australia with 91.7 percent, and South Korea with 90.5 percent. Saudi Arabia ranked seventh in the rate of recovery, reaching 73.9 percent, ahead of Italy, which recorded 68.5 percent, and Canada, which registered 53.8 percent. Among the countries that recorded the least recovery of the cases, the United Kingdom came first with 0.87 percent, Indonesia with 28.8 percent and Argentina with 32.7 percent. With regard to critical cases, India came first with a rate of 4.32 percent, followed by Canada with 1.77 percent and Argentina with 1.57 percent. The Kingdom ranked fifth in the case of critical infections with 1.42 percent. The Ministry of Health has always stressed the importance of strictly complying with precautionary measures and preventive protocols, and warned against the consequences of any negligence and irresponsible behavior in this regard. Assistant Minister of Health and the Ministry Spokesman Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdel Ali expressed concern over the current number of critical cases that exceeded 1,200. He indicated that the recording of higher number of infections during the last week was a sign of such wrong behaviors. This reemphasized the responsibility of the entire community to follow the instructions of the state, which confirmed in all its previous steps that it was carrying out its full role and has accomplished successes in its decisive measures since the beginning of the pandemic as shown in the figures. Now it is the role of both citizens and expatriates that they have a responsibility in maintaining a low rate of critical cases. They must be fully aware of the fact that any irresponsible behavior on their part would produce adverse impact on human lives and eventually on the indexes. These numbers and statistics that were collected after monitoring the COVID-19 app confirm and prove to all that the Saudi government, headed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, created an excellent foolproof system to effectively confront the pandemic. The Kingdom was able to preserve one of the five vital things that our true religion instructed us in the form of protecting human lives by recording the lowest death rates until the moment of preparing this report. One of the most important real gains from this pandemic is the superiority of Saudi doctors over their teachers in developed countries, as the Kingdom has been sending thousands of students, under its Foreign Scholarship Program, to Canada, United States of America and Europe to study medicine. @Dr_Almorjan is a specialist in digital criminal identification
