AMAALA program welcomes next generation of Saudi talent
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 02 - 06 - 2020

RIYADH – AMAALA, the ultra-luxury destination located along Saudi Arabia's northwestern coast, launched its youth empowerment program to develop young Saudi talent by providing on-the-job training to boost skills and expertise. The initiative reflects Saudi Arabia's ongoing drive to nurture and prepare local talent to step into leadership roles in established and new economic sectors.
The program kicked off with the MiSK/AMAALA Corporate Internship Program, a strategic partnership with the MiSK Foundation. The internship program successfully worked with 12 interns across all areas of the business over a period of six months. The interns will graduate from the program by the end of the month. AMAALA is now getting ready to welcome 30 new interns to the business in the coming months.
Commenting on the creation of the youth empowerment program, Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Naples of AMAALA said: "AMAALA is committed to supporting and nurturing Saudi talent. We're firmly focused on helping these young, ambitious minds reach their full potential. Investment in our youth is key to the success of our business, and our partnership with the MiSK Foundation will help us to identify and recruit the leaders of tomorrow. Our collaboration with MiSK will secure the future of the AMAALA workforce, and the future of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for generations to come."
The MiSK/AMAALA Corporate Internship Program, conducted in partnership with MiSK, welcomed 12 interns to AMAALA following a rigoros interview process. After successfully completing the program, AMAALA will induct 30 interns to a wide variety of roles across the organization in July. Future programs will be rolled out across six-month cycles, with numbers expected to grow alongside the business.
AMAALA is committed to creating an environment of continuous talent and succession planning and will augment its development efforts with the launch of a second program - the AMAALA Future Leaders Program in late 2020. The program has been designed to identify and recruit top-performing graduates to become part of AMAALA's senior management team.
This 18-month program will see participants based at AMAALA's headquarters for a six-month immersion, before embarking on a year of specialist training in their respective fields of expertise.
