MANAMA — Bahrain on Monday recorded 406 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in the kingdom to 11,804, the country's Ministry of Health said in a statement. Of the newly detected cases, there were 140 expatriate workers while 266 people contracted the infection after coming into contact with others who had been infected, the ministry said. A total of 387 patients have completely recovered from the deadly virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 7,070, according to the ministry. Now new deaths were reported on Wednesday, keeping the kingdom's virus-related death toll at 19. There are currently 39 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 11 are in a critical condition. 4,704 cases are stable out of a total of 4,715 active cases, the ministry said in a series of tweets.
