RIYADH — Muezzins of mosques will be allowed to pronounce the Eid takbeeraat in all mosques across the Kingdom after Fajr prayer until the time of Eid prayer without holding the prayer, said the Governorate of Makkah Region on its twitter official account. Earlier in the day, Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance had called on all imams in the country not to hold Eid prayers in mosques and other prayer areas. In a circular issued on behalf of the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Asheikh, to all its branches, the ministry instructed the employees of mosques not to hold Eid prayers in mosques and prayer areas in the Kingdom. The move is part of the temporary suspension of the gatherings in mosques in line with the precautionary measures that the Ministry continues to implement to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in tandem with the efforts of the state in this regard.
