Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced today that the value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, during last week 24-28 August reached AED1.114 billion ($303.54 million) or 31.74 percent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached AED1.663 billion ($453.13) or 47.38 percent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Therefore, negative net foreign investment on the DFM reached AED549 million ($149.59 million) for the week. The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during last week reached AED988.65 million or 28.16 percent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached AED1.276 billion or 36.35 percent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Negative net institutional investment on the DFM reached AED287.53 million during the period.
