Islamic Affairs Ministry launches Iftar program in Bosnia, Argentina, Malaysia

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the King Fahd Islamic Cultural Center in Sarajevo, launched the program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for Ramadan Iftar (breaking fast) for the year 1441 AH, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Hani Bin Abdullah Momena and a number of Bosnian officials.
King Fahd Cultural Center's Director Dr. Mohammed Bin Hassan Al Sheikh stated that given the global health conditions this year, the program will be implemented through food baskets distributed to the needy people in all regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He indicated that the program will be implemented in the rest of the Balkan countries also covered by the program, stressing it will be implemented in Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro and it will benefit 60,000 individuals.
He thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for their continuous support to their brothers in Bosnia and Herzegovina through these projects, especially in light of the spread of the Coronavirus.
The Ministry, represented by the King Fahd Islamic Cultural Center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, launched the program for Ramadan Iftar, which targets nearly 4,000 individuals in Argentina.
The launch was in the presence of Deputy Ambassador to Argentina Mohammad Al-Aidan, the Director of the King Fahd Islamic Cultural Center Sheikh Ali Bin Awada Al-Shamrani, and the embassy and center's staff.
For his part, Al-Aidan pointed out that the Ramadan Iftar project is part of the huge projects conducted to help Muslims in the world during the holy month of Ramadan, which reflects the keenness of the wise leadership to gather Muslims in a spiritual atmosphere.
The Director of the King Fahd Islamic Cultural Center explained that the program targets more than 4,000 individuals by distributing 400 food baskets containing all the food requirements of families in the holy month, noting that the Center is working on distributing them according to the precautionary measures put In place to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The Ministry, represented by Religious Attaché of Saudi Embassy in Malaysia, launched on Saturday the Ramadan Iftar program in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia Mahmoud Qattan and a number of officials.
Qattan said that the annual program conducted in 18 countries around the world including Malaysia, reflects the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques keenness to serve Islam and Muslims around the world.
For his part, Religious Attaché in Malaysia Abdulrahman Al-Rubaian said that the program includes 1,000 food baskets and 20,000 Iftar meals, distributed to the needy people in many regions of Malaysia.— SPA
