Joining national efforts to mitigate the socioeconomic impact of coronavirus pandemic and extending a helping hand to the country's health services, Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) announced a commitment of SR10 million toward the Ministry of Health's Health Endowment Fund. The commitment is a testament to the strength of SADAFCO's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, dedicated to supporting local communities and governmental and ministerial initiatives driving social welfare and safeguarding community wellbeing. This initiative will strengthen the Health Fund's capabilities through the provision of resources, bolstering the Saudi government's efforts to fully prepare the country to tackle the human and economic impact of COVID-19. SADAFCO's contribution will support the Health Endowment Fund in the fight against the pandemic and support communities, and individuals affected by the crisis. The pledge stems from SADAFCO's promise to address and raise awareness of social causes during these extraordinary circumstances, and its determination to be a force for good in the communities in which it operates. Wout Matthijs, CEO of SADAFCO, said: "The last few weeks have indeed been a challenge for not only the residents of the Kingdom, but people all over the world. Our priority today is to work closely with the government, healthcare providers and the community as we come together to navigate the socioeconomic challenges arising from this global crisis. It's our duty and our social responsibility now to support medical response units, and medical personnel, who are working selflessly and tirelessly for all of us. This is a time where our collective and dedicated efforts are needed, and we are here to support the Kingdom in the battle against this disease." — SG
