RIYADH — Dr. Mohamed Al-Abdel Aali, spokesman of the Ministry of Health, said that there have been eight corona recovery cases in the Kingdom while the remaining 230 affected people are receiving medical treatment in isolated facilities in various regions of the Kingdom. He said that the condition of two people is critical and they are admitted to intensive care units. Aali said that among the affected 238 people, there are six children and all others are adults above the age of 45. There are 151 Saudis and 87 foreigners while there are 123 women. He said that most of the people, 180 in number, came from countries that recorded the spread of the virus, while the remaining 54 persons contracted the disease from the infected people. "The cumulative number of quarantine and isolation cases account for about 9,500 while advanced laboratory tests exceeded 14,000, and the number of inquiries and consultations received by the Health Contact Center 937 regarding coronavirus reached more than 240,000," he added. Meanwhile, the meeting of the committee concerned with following up the latest developments in the health condition of coronavirus stressed the importance of further strengthening preventive measures in the entry points of the Kingdom. The meeting, chaired by Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, reviewed the latest reports and developments about the virus at the regional and global level.
