Najm adopts preventative measures against COVID-19
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 18 - 03 - 2020

Najm for Insurance Services has embraced a series of preventative measures aimed at protecting the health and wellbeing of its clients and staff against the pandemic COVID-19 through issuing prevention guidelines and distributing protection equipment.
Najm is also holding awareness workshops for its staff to educate them on how to deal with clients and community in what supports the directives of the Saudi Arabian government regarding maximizing preventative measures to reduce the negative impact resulting from the global coronavirus pandemic, and follows guidelines issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Fund (SAMA) and instructions from the Saudi Ministry of Health.
Najm has also utilized its internal channels and social media platforms to spread awareness messages encompassing health guidelines, and has implemented a work-from-home system in response to the preventative procedures recommended by the Kingdom's health sector.
Moreover, Najm has temporarily closed its branches as another preventative measure to limit the spread of the virus while reiterating its commitment to provide top quality services despite the situation.
Najm is digitizing its services and offering them via alternative electronic channels including its website and smart device application, where clients can complete all procedures related to Najm's vehicle insurance services, including printing repair authorization forms, damage assessment reports, Review appointments, reporting accident details to insurance entities, submitting proofs of incident, and liability reports.
Through its awareness efforts, including direct lectures and special guidance, Najm is especially focusing on its field staff and reviewers by educating them on protective practices to adopt while on duty to protect themselves and clients from infection in the best way possible.
Additionally, Najm has formed an internal committee consisting of members from the senior management tasked with closely monitoring the situation and periodically meeting to offer solutions for issues that may arise.
Najm had kicked off awareness campaigns among its employees since the beginning of the COVID-19 spread, and had made available all necessary sanitization and protection equipment including masks, gloves, and sanitizers, in addition to halting the fingerprint attendance recording system which can contribute to the quick spread of the virus.
Awareness campaigns are regarded as a key approach to slow down the pandemic, which has rapidly spread in several countries around the world in a global occurrence unprecedented for almost a century, amid diligent global and local efforts to contain and overcome it. — SG
