RIYADH — Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, met with Deputy Chair of The Elders organization and former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon here on Wednesday. During the meeting, they reviewed a number of issues of mutual concern. Human Rights Commission Chief Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad attended the meeting. The Crown Prince also held talks with World Economic Forum President Børge Brende. They discussed a number of issues related with regional and international economic developments. The talks also figured exploration of opportunities for partnership between the Kingdom and WEF in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Minister of Commerce and Investment Majed Al-Qasabi, Minister of Finance Muhammad Al-Jadaan, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef and Director of the private office of the Crown Prince Badar Al-Assaker and other officials attended the meeting. Meanwhile, Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri met with WEF President Børge Brende at his office in Riyadh. The meeting was part of the preparations for the Kingdom's hosting of the upcoming Middle East Summit of WEF in April. The summit will focus on six main areas such as building skills for future careers, financial inclusion, transformation in the energy sector, smart cities, environmental stewardship, and the fourth industrial revolution.
