Najm for Insurance Services is participating as a silver sponsor in the "Saudi Arabia World Trade Forum" that will be held on the sidelines of the three-day "Saudi Transport and Logistic Services" exhibition that started Tuesday (Feb. 4) at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. Through this participation, Najm seeks to strengthen its presence in conferences and forums related to the traffic sector, in support of its commitment towards enhancing road traffic safety, especially in light of the Kingdom's location at a crossroads of important global trade roads. In this regard, CEO at Najm Dr. Mohammad Al-Suliman expressed his delight to take part in this significant forum which forms a major contributor to the transport sector and economy in MENA. He said the transportation sector represents more than 10% of the country's GDP and employs over 10% of the workforce, and is a key sector aligned with the targets of Vision 2030 aimed at improving the quality of life and enhancing safety and security on roads. He praised the role played by the Ministry of Transport, along with other entities, in reducing road accident deaths by 25% by 2020 as specified in the Saudi Vision 2030. He pointed out that concerted efforts will enhance safety on the Kingdom's roads and reduce human and material losses that negatively impact the national economy. The Saudi Arabia World Trade Forum agenda will also include discussions on challenges facing the road and transport sector and the strategies required for its development and will address vital topics and various projects in the road transport and logistics sector.
