The arrival terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) is scheduled to be expanded after the summer season, Engineer Mazen Khashokgi, the Airport's chief, has said. The new expansion covers the old arrival terminal and has been designed in such a way as to absorb incoming passengers in the northern terminal. Khashokgi said the newly installed conveyor belts have accelerated the dispatching time of the luggage, and it has helped in significantly reducing the waiting time at the arrival terminal. Khashokgi said the new expansion project is working smoothly. He stressed that all necessary arrangements have been made to absorb the tremendous increase in the number of people arriving here for Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan and the upcoming Haj season. – Okaz __
