MUSCAT — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman met with Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq of Oman at Al-Alam Palace in Muscat on Monday to condole the death of the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, Saudi Press Agency reported. King Salman offered condolences to the Sultan, members of the royal family and people of Oman, asking Almighty Allah to bestow His mercy on the soul of Sultan Qaboos and give the family members patience and solace to bear the loss of the departed leader. For his part, Sultan Haitham thanked the King for his noble feelings and condolences. During the visit, King Salman was accompanied by several princes, emirs, and high-ranking officials. They included Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah and adviser to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques; Minister of the State, Member of the Cabinet and Adviser to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mansour Bin Miteb; Emir of the Eastern Province Prince Saud Bin Naif; Emir of Al-Baha Prince Hussam Bin Saud; Prince Saud Bin Salman; and Minister of the State, Member of the Cabinet and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban. The King was then seen off by Sultan Haitham and a number of senior officials. Earlier on arrival at Muscat International Airport, the King was received by Sayyid Shihab Bin Tariq Al Said, Adviser to the Sultan of Oman; Sayyid Badr Bin Saud Bin Harib Al-Busaidi, Oman's defense minister and a number of senior officials. Those who received the King also included Saudi Ambassador to Oman Eid Al-Thaqafi, military attaché Brig. Abdullah Al-Shadi, and the Saudi embassy staff in Oman. Then, the King headed to Al-Alam Palace where he was received by Sultan Haitham, Deputy Prime Minister for the Cabinet Affairs Fahd Bin Mahmoud Al Said; Asaad Bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Relations and International Cooperation; members of the ruling family, ministers and senior officials.
